Gaybirds are your cousin’s favourite band — and soon to be yours too. They blend an exquisite banquet of styles and instruments with willing participants from the crowd to create fresh sounds. Armed with ancient tools, modern gadgets, and arguably more enthusiasm than preparation, Ben Francis (multi-instrumentalist) Mathew Hatch (Flute and keys) and Mr Matthew Bracknell (Echo Omen) have been overdelivering to pubs, clubs, and festivals across WA for the past six months creating part gig, part shared hallucinations.
